Your skin is the biggest organ in your body. And, perhaps more importantly, it is the most absorbent. It drinks whatever you put on it, absorbing through your hair follicles and pores. Get out of a hot shower or finish up a sweaty workout and those pores are wide open, as big as they can get. Of course, this is when most of us apply our deodorant or antiperspirant. Right when our skin is the most primed to absorb whatever is on the surface.
